Positive Remarks from Our Valued Partners
We've created a lot of outcome within small teams and as a whole. It really can be stated: We have a lot of ideas - and most importantly, the drive to turn them into action. Just fun working like this!
At Hartmann-Shipping Germany, we've set up our own training facilities at Nautitec and ISNTC to stay up-to-date with our fast-changing industry and be prepared for the future.
We're passionate about supporting our staff's career development and maintaining highest standards - always. That's why we're grateful to have Atria as our partner for 'people skills' learning and development.
Atria helps us align our self-driven 'human factors learning activities' with industry standards and client needs. Atria doesn't just focus on the present; they work with us to build on our past experiences and shape future initiatives together.
Atria serves as a trusted learning & development sounding board, offering expert guidance and support. What truly sets them apart is their ability to seamlessly merge university theory with maritime best practices, especially in the realm of people skills.
This unique approach has had a profound impact on our faculty and students.
Atria has helped us bridge the gap between academic understanding of people dynamics and real-world application, ensuring that our graduates are not only well-versed in theory but also equipped with the practical skills needed for success in their life on board. For example, they seamlessly combine our ship handling simulation with their tailor-made human element simulation, with a primary focus on experiencing that we all are part of ‘the human element’ in the shipping industry.
This integration allows our students to reflect on their own team dynamics, decision-making and individual talents. Almost naturally they become high-performing bridge teams and are well-prepared for their final study assessment.
Let’s face it, most often the ‘train the trainer’ sessions you will participate in feel really generic and not really tailored to your situation. This was not the case with our training provided by Atria. Our trainer (Roman) really listed well to what our specific situation was and completely tailored the training sessions around us. We ended up with a fully customised training program and also ‘course output’ in which we actually experienced ourselves what it is to stand in our students shoes. This all in an informal, fun but productive setting. 10/10
I'm facilitating the MLDP OPS online course together with my colleagues from crewing and Atria.
I really love the direct contact and interaction with the junior officers from operational level and hear about their experiences and ideas.
It's fantastic to see them outgrowing during the course, actively participating and seeing them developing the first leadership skills.
For the company it's the perfect way to bring our message across to the juniors at an early stage....learning by playing!
Since we started our cooperation with Atria / Roman Heil in 2019 we were able to create a tailor made Personal Leadership and People Management program for our (senior) officers, fitting our company culture and vision. Using the HEISS simulation as the basis, ATRIA was able to translate this to our wishes and demands.
This Wagenborg Attitude Training Experience and Responsibility program has brought us and our senior officers a better insight into how to handle the challenges faced when managing a crew and a vessel in these fast changing times.
In a very pleasant, open and constructive cooperation with Atria, and Roman Heil especially, we were able to integrate our company’s own identity and style in the WATER program and digital on-boarding for new hired officers. Thus helping us to create a complete and natural flow from the start in our company to the management positions on board.
We believe in the development of maritime professionals with hands, head and heart. Turning learning into actions onboard and ashore!
